Imagining the Digital World: Identity, Society, Surveillance

On Thursday, 9 April 2020 a workshop on the topic of Imagining the Digital World: Identity, Society, Surveillance will take place at the University of Bern (Hallerstrasse 6, room 205).

This one-day event consists of two lectures and a discussion sessions with Dr. Betiel Wasihun (TU Berlin) and Dr. Florian Zappe (University of Göttingen).

Dr. Wasihun’s talk will be titled: “Shame in the Age of Digital Surveillance”. Dr. Zappe’s talk will be on “Surveillance Culture and post|human agency”.

PhD students and post-doctoral researchers with an interest in the topic are very welcome to attend. The workshop will last from 9 am to approx. 6 pm and will include free lunch and an apéro for workshop attendants. There will be some preparatory reading for the workshop sessions.
